The initiative to renovate the sensory classroom at Dato Marsal Primary School is a community project, "SPACEforAutism", run by a groups from participants of the 36th Cohort of Executive Development Programme for Middle Management Officers, EDPMMO. The renovations are an effort to enhance the inclusive learning environment for children with autism in the country. In addition, over 250 sensory devices were distributed to 4 primary schools for the benefit of special education students.
With the existence of sensory classrooms, it is hoped that it will create a conducive teaching and learning environment, as well as promote public awareness on autism, as well as sensory needs to develop the skills, emotions and learning of special education students.
